Neurosonic sounds like the bastard love child of Orgy, System of A Down, and AFI, not to mention the group’s singer, Jason Darr looks a lot like Jared Leto… if that’s not a recipe for great music, I don’t know what is! Plus, it's nice to see that there are people out there who hate Ashlee Simpson as much as we do!
Masters of style, and posessing the keen ability to merge Metal, Electronics, and Pop together with ease, Neurosonic is one of the most diverse and innovative bands of the 2000s.
“Drama Queen” leads with the anti-Ashlee Rock opus “So Many People.” Reminiscent of 90s industrial and scornful of 2008 pop culture, this song is an anthem at its finest. They then rip into the fluttery metal menagerie, “Are Solar,” complete with chunky guitars, sing-along verses, and the most gothic music video ever made - YouTube it!
“I Will always Be Your Fool” sounds like a 311 song on crack; merging Reggae and balls-out rock; perfect for sunny days and picknics in graveyards.
For a bunch of tough industrial rockers, Neurosonic isn’t afraid to show their sensitive side with orchestra-infused power ballads like “Me, Myself, And I” and “Fearless.” The strings add extra life to already lively songs.
Neurosonic – “Fearless”
The hands-down best part about “Drama Queen” are the head-banger tracks. Songs like, “Boneheads,” “Until I Die,” and “Crazy Shiela” will give you the urge to destroy. (Not safe to listen to while driving).
