Lifehouse is one of the best bands of all time, right up there with the Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam. For a pop band, these guys have a lot of balls, and it shows on “Who We Are.” Complete with 12 tracks of Pop-Rock-goodness, this album is a must buy for those hopeless romantics out there.
“Who We Are” starts with a bang with “Disarray,” and rips into FM-friendly songs, “First Time,” and “Whatever it Takes.”
Lifehouse-Disarray
“Who We Are,” the album’s title track, is as catchy as fly paper with experimental percussion, and sing-along choruses. 3:27 long, this track will force you to hit the repeat button over and over again.
Yes, Lifehouse makes great pop songs, but aren’t afraid to show their daring and a willingness to experiment in funk-oriented songs like, “The Joke,” and synth-heavy/ambient songs like, “Storm.”
Other songs worth downloading immediately are the hidden gems in the middle of the record: “Bridges.” This track starts with loud guitars, and rips into a Folk-Rock-inspired acoustic jam. “Easier to Be” and “Make Me Over” are definitely worth a few spins as well.
